We moved out at Wheatland Equestrian in Nov 2011 with our 2 horses. We had a horse that needed some special care and Heather has always made sure he had it. This was the first barn that we were at that had 2 different types of hay to best accommodate horses that may be tough keepers, and also, that the field horses were cared for the same as the ones in the stalls, including 2 shelters in the fields which was another first for us. Heather’s knowledge about horses shines from her years in the industry and both her and her husband Jesse always goes the extra mile to help their boarders. It is a family run business where you do feel like part of the family.

Rachel StewartI’ve been boarding my horse at Wheatland since 2010 and my 21-year old mare requires special care to manage long-time, chronic laminitis. Her weight and health needs to be closely watched and I’ve been able to rely on Heather to adjust the type and amount of hay to feed to her, move her from pasture to paddock and administer medication when required. Heather has been so easy and willing to work with and accommodate my mare’s special needs.
It’s a huge relief to know that my mare is being well taken care of and her health closely monitored.
